Spent 15 minutes ...found better pricing than World Ventures:
here are some examples as proof. The Las Vegas Dream trip to the Loews Resort, 17 miles off the strip and in the middle of summer in the terrible heat. It says golf package, but I can not find out where it says how many rounds or what course so I am assuming no golf is included. Even if it is included, the pricing I got would still be cheaper. They include no transfers, no airfare, no meals. They are listing 3 nights, 4 days for $350, per person, double occupancy, so it is $700.I looked on 1 website, hotels.com . The rate for the exact dates is $655 includes all tax. I called the hotel direct. They are offering some groups $139.00/ night not based per person and they are including golf. That is $417 for two people. That is even cheaper than hotels.com . So I spent 15 minutes doing some research and I found better pricing than World Ventures. Even if World Ventures did included golf, calling the hotel is cheaper. During the summer, you can play golf at the most exclusive courses for $25/ round. No one wants to play in the heat. I know what the prices are during the summer because my husband is in the industry.

DreamTrip Price = $297.88 - Apple Vacations Price = $218.00:
"Something is very strange in the WorldVentures DreamTrips land. They no longer will show the prices of some of their DreamTrips on the website unless you pay to become a member. That was never the case before. Some are listed and just as proven before, they're not a bargain.Keep in mind that it costs $199.95 to join and $24.99 per month, so the member would pay a whopping $474.84 per year just for the "privilege" of usually paying more for the identical trip booked through any travel agent. Here is just one their offerings: NUEVO VALLARTA, MEXICO 6 DAY & 5 NIGHT STAY AT THE VILLA DEL PALMAR FLAMINGOS BEACH RESORT & SPA $297.88 PER PERSON BASED ON DOUBLE OCCUPANCY Studio apartment Best Online Price: $1229.52
DreamTrips Price: $297.88 Average Savings per Couple: $1863.27
Available from any brick and mortar travel agency: Same dates, same room category, same everything: $218.00 per person* As you can see, this would be a rip-off, as is par for the course with any travel MLM. *price quoted 8-31-10 from Apple Vacations"

No scam. If you can find the same trip at a better deal, they'll pay for your WHOLE trip. It won't cost you a penny.
ReplyDelete199 dollars is only a 1 time fee. The 24 dollars a month is the only recurring fees you have.
DeleteShow us this guarantee in writing, including ALL the stipulations.
DeleteMy question would be why are people who work for the company and believe in the company even on a forum dedicate to SCAMS about "their" company? It's very interesting that one would even take the time out to bash or entertain people who simply had a negative experience with the said company or don't want to have any parts with it at all.
DeleteFor myself it has been my experience that when I worked for a company I did exactly that. I don't recall ever going around keying in scam followed by the company's name. However, what's interesting is that with the said company all I did was key in the name and the word scam followed it.
Anyone, I hope its not a scam.
The story start like that: one old friend call me and he say, hello how are you ....................... and later he say i have a great dell for you and we meet he show me some videos and some photos and i sing in but on the end he say:: i need some credit or debit card to pay for you business pack or something like that and i say to my boy friend to give me hem visa card than i ask my old friend Chris, will don't have any problem whit the card yeee and he say don't worry everything will ok. And what happen one mount later, my boyfriend comeback from work and start to ask me way World Ventures take a around 50 euro from my card and i was very surprise way and how, i was start to think way is must by something wrong and i was start to search and i find out that some payment every mount and that make me angry every mount 50 euro i tray to cancel my account or deleted but i don't find from ware, and was pass one mount more and was happen the same World Ventures take again around 50 euro from my boy friend card that way i want to delete my account and also i don't have a time to search a or to offer people to sing in so place delete my account. My email is chichoncho@hotmail.com and my ID# 40495701 i hope so someone will do something about that, and if no one do something i will still search on all web forums and places wear World Ventures post and i will live the some comments !!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteImmature
DeleteHow come everyone who is for this company posts as anonymous hmm? Sketch.
DeleteAnd maturity has nothing to do with it.
DeleteSo lets see....if you joined WV and you pay 199.95 and 24.99 a month and at the end of the year you just payed $487, well shit that means you didnt take advantage of refering 4 people and not paying a monthly fee.....whose falt would that be? im in the company and im not paying any monthly fees, and i get great discounts on local hotels. The people who dont get anything out of it just sucked at it lol
ReplyDeleteWhat are your discounts? I keep hearing these tales, yet no details. What do you get? Continental breakfasts? Because the only perks I have seen them claim are what is already available FOR FREE to the general public!
DeleteYou have to read the terms and conditions. They are very scary.
DeleteI got in at a total of 366 for dreamtrips life and to be a rep. At the end of the year its a total of 1170 bucks out the window. Well, I feel like I have been taken advantage of as no one else wants it. I feel I have been brainwashed into thinking I will have a better life if I keep paying for the training that range all the way up to 500 bucks for a one day training class that will boost my business. None of this works unless you have money to buy people in which even then you are just giving WV more money. I have lost friends because of using WV prospect tactics and I see no good out of any of it. I would of got a vacation had I just spent the 1170 on a vacation instead of some scam. Now i am broke, no vacation, and feel like I was ripped off. Stay away from this scam. Dont pay monthly fees and membership start up costs if you want a vacation. Just take that money and go on a vacation. The price difference between Dreamtrips Life and travelocity is a few bucks. So dont think you are getting a super deal because you are not!
DeleteThe price difference as you say between dreamtripslife and travelocity is just a few buck. Travelocity does not send you with a HOST on your trip. Travelocity does not include your transefers for FREE Travelocity does not provide you with a 24/7 concierge FOR LIFE. Travelocity does not allow you to save money on the things you may everyday in your own home town, saving waaaay more than a membership fee.
Deletetravelocity wont pay you 150% the difference if you find something cheaper travelocity does not have rate shrinker(if they find a cheaper price after you purchase they send you the difference back!)travelocity does not pay you commission for your flights or the people you refer to them! TRAVELOCITY DOES NOT!
DeleteFirst, I recommend a basic math course, 2nd grade level to help you with your addition.
ReplyDeleteThen while you are there, I recommend taking a spelling course.

DeleteThe fella that can't add or subtract said it right though "TAKE ADVANTAGE OF"...that is the whole problem I have with this pyramid scheme crap - you have to take advantage of your friends and relatives just so you can get a discount on a vacation.
ReplyDeleteWell said! Thats what made me regret and cancel membership only a day after joining.
Delete@Jack a pyramid scheme has no product and no service, wv has a product....
Delete@Cyprus the only way to fail is to quit, I wish you would give it a second chance...there are so many negative nancys out there, but take the advice of the people with the lifestyles you want...if you listen to your broke friends you will stay broke, every multimillionaire I have met or that has written books on success, have all mentioned a network marketing business, and just for anyone that has invested any money what soever into a home based business, please look into your tax write offs! You can write off a portion of yur rent/mortgage, phone bills computers internet gas food and much more, its worth te investment for tax purposes alone.....
Pyramid Scheme is a bad name. This is more of a Chain Scheme. The only way to get more money is to add more links after you. The money goes up the chain so the link above you will always get more money then you. It's a shady deal and requires you to take advantage if your friends. I encountered another thing like this called TEAM: LIFE. Same business model there, only they sold information and education instead of vacations.
Deletehey jack... we just joined a week and a half ago we signed 5 people up and some are relatives so we did not take advantage of our relatives because they can have the same travel discounts as we have .We made 380 dollars in our first week in a half so we got our 365 enrollment money back plus 15 dollar profit and shooting for more future profit with no debt
ReplyDelete15$ profit. Woohoo.
Deletethats actually really good, just think bout all the weeks added up through out a year for one small investment, and all the tax write offs they are now allowed to!
DeleteLMMFAO THIS IS WAAAAAAAAY TO FUNNY FOR WORDS.... Everything that glitters isn't GOLD my friends!!!! If someone dipped a banana in shit and told you that it was chocolate would you eat it lol no offense to Anonymous but just because you jumped of a bridge doesn't mean that others should. Smitty my man i agree with you and Anonymous if you work for that company maybe you should try something other than sarcasm and a shitty attitude to rep the company that you swear by. I'm sure the people at that bull shit (office) headquarters wouldn't be pleased with the toilet that your flushing them in. AGAIN waaaaaaaay to funny. My supposed to be friend just tried to get me on this crap when all it seem to be is another mirage well thought and a foundational 2012 pyramid scheme!
ReplyDeleteme again.... my bad bud i don't mean to be a pesimistic rude ass but good luck to you if its truly working for you :-)
Deletea pyramid scheme has no product and no service, WV has a product,
DeleteIts amusing to me how misunderstood network marketing systems are. Everyone is so quick to say that they are pyramid schemes and yet they work for the worst pryamid scheme of all, big corporations. For example let's say you work for a bank, your a teller then above you there are supervisors then assistant managers, store mangers, district then regional manager. As the ranking goes up the number of people in those specific positions lessen ultimately leading all the way to the top to the Owner who sits proudly on top of his pyramid disguising it as the "corporate ladder". At least with legit network marketing systems you have a fighting chance to surpass those above by your work ethics. These network systems are meant for those who are strong willed and wish to gain a residual income and not some insecure paycheck. Collecting checks isn't a bad thing but it is a dangerous gamble to bet your lifestyle on. What will you do when someone more skilled willing to take a pay cut scopes in on your job, or the corporation goes bankrupt? Everyone is walking on a tight rope when working for corporations but if your comfortable doing the norm and following societies guide line to be a drone then by all means stay away from network marketing systems. These are meant for the strong and persistent who want a better life then what the normal guideline has to offer.
ReplyDeleteThat was a terribly analogy of the corporation in comparison to the network marketing system (especially since network marketing is a corporation).
DeleteI think it is wrong to compare Costco and Sam’s Club ($55 per year) to Network Marketing ($55 per month (per the latest advertisement)).
This product only works if you and your friends keep making profits for you. Eventually, you run out of time and interest keep up the game and have to start shelling out for the monthly fee. Now, my buddy is going to feel bad when I have to explain to him that this smells of a scam and he is going to have to pay out for a lot of vacations that are going to return very little (other than some quick thrills and huge dent in the checkbook).
Stick with Costco, as their vacation offers are likely more legit, anyway. In the end you’re going to save money.
Drone-
why do you people talk about something you know nothing about... with world ventures you pay a one time fee, the monthly fee is waived when you refer 4 friends and they join. next time find out more information about the subject and then talk about it... have a great life !
Deletewateve?/
DeleteThe comparison to Costco & Sams Club is because of the bulk-buying concept. If you want to compare something on monthly fees...its equivalent to a gym membership, except oh crap...my gym desn't waive my fees if I refer 4 members! :(
DeleteIn a corporation, my manager above me isn't making money on me being hired there like you do with WV. You are still making lots of money for those 2 crooks at the top of the scheme. They have been busted before for pyramid schemes. Open your eyes and take off the blinders!!!! They have not changed, just found something that hasn't been shut down yet.
DeleteNot everyone has to like world ventures. It is a mlm marketing company. Plain and simple. But for those who truly chose to participate have received value in many ways. I have found merit in the extra cash I have made, the experiences and money saved on my first trip, long lasting friendships made, and my own personal growth. So for you who slander world ventures. I'd like to ask why. Just don't participate we dont need you to.
ReplyDeleteNo the deal is I care to much for those contacts in my phone to sucker them into a pyramid scheme. I'm not looking to make money off of them!
DeleteIf anyone can, please explain how this is a pyramid scheme? In a pyramid scheme only the top guy makes money; where in Worldventures you have to work to make money if you sit there a do nothing you can't possiblly make money. In a lot of cases people are making more money than the people above them. My entire family is in it, on both sides, and we all love going on awsome vacations together. This company isn't about business unless you want it to be. For me it's about spending time with everyone I care about: family, friends, and future friends. Thank you Worldventures for everything you have helped me accomplish!
DeleteA pyramid scheme has no product and no service....WV has a service :)
DeleteHaha I was curious about the whole world ventures thing so I decided to go to the meeting myself. After hearing the speaker for a while I was amazed but just wondered what the catch was. I was convinced to sign up only throwing down 150$, 15 minutes later me and 14 other people were given a 5 day 4 night exclusive all paid for trip to cancun! Now all I have to do is sign up for people and I have no more monthly fees. So I'm confused about what part y'all dumbass haters think is a scam!!!
ReplyDeleteZane, thats exactly how true pyramid scheme works. The amount of "free" trips they gave away are minuscule compared to the amount of money they get from people monthly. You have to keep recruiting people to avoid monthly fees, while the company collects the monthly fees from the people you recruit. Sure, you might make a little money but the guys at the top are getting rich compared to what you make. I keep reading about the free hotel stays and the great hotel rates but nobody ever mentions how much the airfare costs. When you add in the cost of airfare, these awesome rates are no better than the rates that I can get from Travelocity or Priceline.
ReplyDeleteour airfare is garunteed the lowest price, if wv finds something cheaper they send us that money back, if we find something cheaper they send us 150% the difference back, if we find a cheaper trip, even by a penny, wv pays for the trip in full! and we get commission booking airfare on our site, travelocity has never sent me a check for booking a flight now garunteed me the cheapest flights....a pyramid scheme has no product and no service...wv has a product
DeleteZane....I did the same thing, and got the same vacation. It is the real deal, I have already reserved my slot for it. PYRAMID SCHEME....do you people realize how stupid you sound? Do you even know what a pyramid scheme is to begin with? The person at the top makes ALL the money, and everyone below pays him all his money by being stupid. Its not a scam, I personally know several people in the biz that are loving it and having a blast at LIVING THEIR LIVES!!!!!! And guess what? Its not just ONE trip you can take...there are tons of different trips, from world-wide to Wisconsin Dells! As for the poster above me, yea airfare...it is a big question. Well sir or ma'am.....go to a meeting, get to know people and find out what it is really about. You do that and you will find out, hey guess what, they have cheap airfare also! :) so say you get a vacation to mexico, all expenses paid,ok. You log into your account, look up airfare prices, and hey guess what. you get cheap air also. I'm not going to be negative or say a bunch of things aka word vomit over everyone. If you really want to live and have FUN....check them out. Its not only a job, its also a way of life. Meet new people, travel the world, and have a good time. so seriously, give it a shot, no is gonna make you do this, if we have to make you do this, then well...your not the person were looking for then. And also for the first time fee, say your 30 years old, and dont have the money for it.....your telling me that you have not been able to save $30 a year for 10 years, well then you should really look into this then. thats all my ranting for the day. lol seriously people, just look st it, talk to people that actually do it and stick with it...you wont regret it.
ReplyDeleteSincerely,
Ray
Clown. you are just giving us the WV talking points. WV has no product. you sell memberships, which allow you to use the Rovia product. Nothing else. WV says they have had millions of members. In 2018 they are down to a few hundred thousand. In 2017 they lost 60% of their revenues and are not even in the Top 100 of the DNS 2018.
DeleteThe Flye disaster, the China scam, being found illegal in Norway for being a pyramid scheme, then the Empower fiasco. Now double IMDs are fleeing. Why such churn?
WV hasn't paid their REPS since September of 2017. No commissions, residuals or dream car/house payments.
You all were scammed. Reps are having their cars and homes repossessed, while the tax cheats, Nugent and Azcue are making all the money.
Well I have to say that the comments I have read above are nothing if not interesting. I have a question for the floor....if MLM's are so bad..why are more corporations taking advantage of this strategy and openning their own divisions? As a society we network market everyday. We see a movie that we really enjoy, what do we do? We tell all our family and friends about it and encourage them to go. We go out for dinner and have a fabulous meal...what do we do? We tell everyone we know about it. That is called Network Marketing!!! All same MLM!!! We do it everyday...but we don't get paid for it! Now imagine if we got paid everytime we encouraged people to try a new movie or restaurant....why that would be a pyramid scheme!...wouldn't it?? lol. Whether you are a 9-5'er or a member of WV [or any other MLM company] you get what out of it what you put into it!! If you do the work...you get the rewards. We are all equal, we all have the right to choose what is best for us. Whether we have a good life or a bad life is completely dependant upon the choices that we make and how hard we are willing to work to make those choices work for us.

Went to a meeting yesterday while a group of 20-something's gave the presentation. (yawn). Then dangled their BMW keys in our faces telling us how the company gave them the cars. I wanted to bust them out and ask if the cars were in their names, did the have the titles, etc. but I didn't want to offend my friend that was hosting the 'party' so I just hurried up and got the hell outta there.
ReplyDeleteI attended a meeting last night. This is, without a doubt, a pyramid scheme. Yes, they do send some people on trips, and yes, some people make money. But anyone who has even a cursory understanding of business will quickly understand that WV is a non-sustainable business model. This "company" doesn't sell any products. Thus, where does the money come from? All it is is a long cycle of people paying cash at the bottom and people further up the ladder getting the profits.
ReplyDeleteThe difference between this and an MLM company is that this, like all pyramid schemes, requires you to pay to get in (and keep paying). Getting paid to recomend a movie to someone is very much what MLMs do today. But imagine if you had to pay $150 upfront + $35 a month just for the privilege of seeing the movie. Then you got an awesome "discounted" ticket price for the movie for only 50 cents. Then you recomend the movie to friends and get a whopping 10 dollars every time you convince someone to, not SEE the movie, but pay $150 like you did. Oh, and everyone who signed up BEFORE you gets a fraction of your profits. How long do you think you'll have to be at this before you make real money? The difference between MLMs and pyramid schemes = MLMs push a product. Pyramid schemes pay people to recurit other people to pay. In WV, you don't get paid to convince someone to go on a trip -- you get paid to convince someone to buy a membership, for which THEY get paid by getting other people to buy a membership, etc. There is no product.
Draw a picture if you have to (wikipedia has a nice one if you search "pyramid scheme"). A handful of people will get very, very rich very quickly. the other 90% will have lost hundreds of dollars before they realize there isn't anything to sell. And they keep idiots on the hook for as long as possible by saying "you get out of it what you put in! If you're not making money, you're just not trying hard enough! Look at this guy who made 50k in only a year or two! Keep at it!"
Sorry WV guys... you've been duped. Like most successful pyramid schemes, this one will take a couple of years to fall, and when it does the top members will go to jail (pyramid schemes are illegal in America).
I was taken to a meeting today. I just cannot see buying into this. Maybe if I traveled a lot (which I don't) or if I knew people who traveled a lot (not in this economy), then it might be worth it. But I just don't feel comfortable asking friends and family to fork over money, possibly paying monthly for the 'privilege' of buying trips later. Personally, I'd be better off saving that one time fee and socking that monthly fee into an account - then pull it out in a couple of years when I can actually take off work (I work on a commission basis so that's no time soon) and search for a good deal then.
DeleteThe whole idea is based on the fact that there will be more and more who sign up - that those under you will work to get more and more (just like you are supposed to do). But eventually you are going to run out of people who want to jump on this bandwagon and the ones on the bottom are the ones who get screwed. They aren't going to want to pay monthly for the privilege of getting to buy a vacation. So they're going to drop out. Then those just above them are going to lose some of their "four" and will drop out after they start having to pay monthly. And on and on you go. Those at the top will make money for a much longer time than those on the bottom. It's just not worth my time.
Your right. Its not for everyone. WV does't need anyone like you.
DeleteI hope the ignorant people above me not you ^^ will know that the monthly fee is when you DONT reffer to 4 people you keep paying. Your telling me if you go through your phone you dont know 4 people ? Sad life if you dont. I know people who are in this for years & are making thougsands of GRANDS with cars & all by simply being in this and not working a single day in those years.
DeleteMaybe you should do your research on what a "pyramid scheme" actually is...Calling World Ventures a pyramid scheme is one of the most uneducated things I have ever heard! A pyramid scheme happens when there is no product or service....I joined WV about 6 months ago and it has completely changed my life. I went from working 50+ hours a week and being on call 24/7 to having my own company paid for car, and residual income and bonuses totaling more than I was making at my previous job, and having the time of my life!! Just like anything else, if you don't work at it, you're not going to get anywhere!!
DeleteThere IS NO PRODUCT TO SELL. How they recrut you is so abscure. I worked at a restaurant feeling kinda down. I met my recruter with a kaiser permanente job so i said your lucky to get in to kaiser cos i heard its kinda hard. So she told me to go to a "project" she and her friends are working on... So i thought hmmm. So i found out shes a doctor and i thought maybe they have a job offer for me or a non profit "project" that has to do with helping the poor and the sick. So i went to the meeting and only then was i exposed to wv. I asked her before the meeting what it was about days before and she just told me " well i cant explain it but just ome to the meeting and we'll show you. With all the warm welcome and the party atmosphere you will get suckered into signing up. So yes i got suckered. I thought about it but i just couldnt bring myself to tell my family to get suckered into it to. There are no products to sell just membership. When i got my website i compared the trips and they were basically the same prices you see on orbits and travelocity. Thats just it. Im pretty sure they do their homework researching travel websites for the cheapest trips and pu the same price on the website. So basically, im not for it because theres no integrity earning money from asking lots and lots of people to spend their hard earned money to join a productless company and ask these people to ask more people to do the same. THERE IS NO INTEGRITY IN THAT. When i told my recruter its not for me she emailed me blame for not wanting to better myself.. Told me if you read this if you read that you would have could have should have... She said i could have googled the cancellation number online. This made me mad. She told me shes available for whatever questions i have. I just wanted the number to cancel and shes saying all this stuff to me. So i replied.... (concised) i could have and i would have researched the company online befor the meeting if you told me what it was about and i could have told you no thanks and SHOULD HAVE WALKED AWAY. To those who actually saved money and earned money from this world ventures well congratulations selling out your families and friends just so can earn money like that with no integrity.
DeleteYou people are such liars. I know RMDs and they work more now, then they did in their 9 to 5 jobs. All of them work at least 16 hours a day (training, recruiting, working their downlines, mentoring their best people, constantly working leads and follow ups, getting ready for RTEs and the big events, etc). When they got their BMWs (WV used to "give" you a MBenz….why did the product go down, rather than up if things are so good?)they increased the distances they drove to start up travel parties in areas that WV had yet to access. If you guys who are commenting don't know this, then you never have, and never will, make it in WV or any MLM.
DeleteGuys, MLM makes money only to a point when the market is saturated. Once saturated, meaning no more people are willing to sign up, there will be no more income to feed the organization and it will definitely collapse. So if the scheme is new in your country and you find the product sellable, why not.
ReplyDelete- ben
I am a member and I am making money off of it...this is not a scam or a pyramid scheme..nor is this for everybody. You make your money back and more!!!!! And this is residual income!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCheck me out kasheenagreen.dreamtripslife.com
Book a trip through the site and compare prices ..by the way u can cancel anytime.. this is an invitation only travel club so u pay a monthly fee. Its like a country club but if you get 4 ppl that wants to sign up for this then your monthly fees are waived. I'm doing it and I enjoy making a living...living... by the way I don't want to be anonymous so my name is KaSheena!!!
One word... AdvoCare. BOOM!
ReplyDeleteAdvoCare....triangle scheme again
Deletereal MLMs are good, unfortunately this is not the real thing, it only disguises itself but people
ReplyDeletewho are experienced can see through it at one glance. I feel sad for those who can't because they are bringing harm to the people around them.
you have to "steal" from your friends 1200 and more, and then your friends has to do the same, or they'll have a dept 15-20$ a month..
ReplyDeleteAnd there are so many stupid ppl that pay that monthly fee for a year and more.
All this will stop in some years, because people will see what it's all about after they will have lost so much money for absolutely nothing.
Everybody has the right to STUPIDITY and it's not a crime to be stupid.
I'd so rather send 1000$ in people who need it, and have nothing to eat and live in the street, than make some "smarties" rich.
I just want these ppl away from me and my family but they are everywhere..
pfff
A fool is born everyday. If you have heard of timeshare, it is similar just that now they are asking for lesser amount but as long as you are member and you cannot recruit downline you have to pay for life!
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is, if you can't go to a decent vacation 1-2 times a year.......you need a reality check! It's your fault that you partied to much instead of hitting the books (smh) when you had a chance. Don't blame it on the economy! That $24.99/month is a big chunk of change if you are struggling right now and thinking that a vacation will help your problems. Yeah, say you pay a whooping $299.99 for your trip. Maybe you are forgetting that you still have to spend your money for food, stupid souvenirs just to be on par for the other vacationers who didn't use this Dreamtrip scam? REALITY CHECK!
ReplyDeleteI like the comment about people making GRANDS a year with cars and all and not working a single day for it..... That sounds so legitimate and so morally right. It's sad but there are many people in this great country that have forgotten the the blessings and honor that come with hard work. These orators pray on ignorant people's emotions, convincing them that their lives are mundane and that they should be living like the people in a music video. Once they are convinced they are "entitled" to this lifestyle its easy to brainwash them to convince other ignorant people of the same. There is nothing wrong with being honest and working for a living. If the people who convince their friends to do this were responsible and cared about their loved ones they would spend a little more time understanding how this works. At the end of the day I'm sure people will think, if I don't profit from taking advantage of others someone else will. All I can say if you can genuinely pray to the Lord and feel good about doing something like this then may God bless you, he's the one you'll be responding too when the day comes.
ReplyDeleteI agree the comment about making Grands a year and not working sounds bad. You know why it sounds bad; because it is nowhere near true! You have to work and work hard to make money. I have gotten 6 hours of sleep in 3 days because I want to make money and guess what? I have! And it's great!
DeleteMost of these people are idiots who "know somebody" who makes "millions".
DeleteThing is, it isn't them and it never is. One guy was bragging about making 100K after being in WV for 2 years. That works out to 50K a year. About average salary. Nothing remotely special. he also has no medical/dental or drug insurance. No unemployment benefits. No retirement. he also doesn't mention spending tens of thousands of dollars paying WV for trainings, the e mail system and back office, the travel to the big national events.
Went to a meeting the other night. Friend who I haven't spoke to in months tells me he wants to hang out because he has "something to show me." I blew him off a couple of times just because I didn't know him like that and I had speculations on what it was since there will be some of his friends there and the drive to where he wanted to meet was 30 to 45 mins away. Finally I gave in and went out of my way to see what he had to show me. When I got there, I felt as if I was at a college house party but all they had were bargain brand sodas to serve to guests. I was greeted by my friend and numerous amounts of kids who were reluctant to tell me what the purpose of the meeting was. Jokingly, I asked if this was a cult or fight club since they told me it was something that not a lot of people don't know about and to respect the discretion of the meeting. Screw that I said since I just wanted to see what this was about. The presentation began with a slide show of "dream destinations," price comparisons, and etc. At the end, I was given a form to fill out if I was interested with the pay structure of those who move up in the ranks. The overhype, yelling, and bad infomercial acting of the presentation was convincing since I signed up immediately paying 150 dollars. Myself and probably 6 others remained for the second part of the presentation in which the speaker discussed the approach when talking to potential customers and clients; the way my "friend" bought me in. He then discussed the advantages of signing up and if you don't, basically you're an idiot. Ok.... So I found out when reading other blogs, others went through the same thing I went through when it came to "being contacted by someone you rarely spoke with" or spending money to travel to all these meetings and paying to go to the seminars. I was honestly turned off by the approach which is why I called And emailed WV for a refund and cancellation of my membership. IMO, those who are very motivated and enthusiastic can benefit from this but I only say that since some of the individuals who gave their stories made good money, got a BMW, and found financial happiness with WV. I am happy for them but for me... I love my job, I get reimbursed for travel and per diem since it requires a lot of traveling, food is free, etc. I Recommend those going into this to just have a back up plan or a primary source of income and be very social able and positive since yes, you are trying to sell a product. When trying to get your friends in doing business with you, make sure you know them well enough since in the end, they may not be the person you think they are and your friendship with them may be on the line... I mean, you did kind of deceive them into driving out of their way to hang out with you months after not talking. Better yet, pick them up. Working in retail management in the past, honesty and a positive attitude sells as well as confidence.
ReplyDeleteCan I ask how he deceived you? You said he said "I have something to show you"..which he did and you liked it and signed up. Too bad for you that you read blogs like this full of people who do not EDUCATE themselves on what a pyramid scheme is and make themselves look like a fool. Good luck with your job regardless! :)
DeleteJOB= Just Over Broke
DeleteI think the comment written on June 26th, 2012 does a very good job of summarizing what this is all about!! My "friend" invited me to go on a "vacation" with her....girls' weekend! I guess I was just supposed to figure out what a LOSER I was because I have not chosen to be a part of all the "greatness" WV has to offer me!! This "friend" has been talking about losing all the "negativity" in her life (and that goes with all the people she tries to recruit who dare to ask questions/or question the integrity of this "Opportunity".) I love the comments from other WV "livin my life and lovin it" memebers who say things like "wow, if you don't have 4 friends, you must be a real loser"!!! For clarification, what you are really saying is, you don't have 4 friends you want to deceive into paying for YOUR fees and such. BIG difference people. Oh, and I do feel sorry for all the YOUNG, impressionable and naive people who get sucked into this!!! It would be curious to see some data as to the average age of members. Sure, it is true, you have to work at anything to be successful, but I believe that if there is as much controversy as I have seen over WORLDVENTURES, there must be something very WRONG!!! If this company truly had any integrity, they would WANT to hear from the Nay-sayers, and the so called "haters" because these are very real concerns and they could learn from them and make it right...but, like I said, that would mean there is INTEGRITY in the company. Instead, they beat you down and tell you things like what a loser and a hater you are if you speak against or dare to question the company. Hmmm....don't most SUCCESSFUL business models believe in the "Customer is ALWAYS right" principle??? Anyway, long story short, my FRIEND is no longer speaking to me (Oh....I did not join, nor do I EVER have any intention of joining!!!). Guess I'm on the negativity list too now....oh well, what can I say....I'm livin my life and LOVIN it!!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm not too sure about this. I've spoken and met up with someone today to a convention center very close by where I live, and I just don't know yet. You're not really selling anything it seems, but simply have to pay to sign up to their company, which normally, if you get hired somewhere, they pay you during training times, so if you have to pay for the seminars and training, then how are you really making money off of it, and then on top of that, you still have to pay for the airfare, therefore, losing money in the process. Just not so sure about this yet. She gave me this DVD to watch since it wasn't playing on her laptop, and of course, I haven't been able to watch the whole thing, but only 2 videos and it won't play on my laptop either. Go figure. Well, I'm gonna look more into it. glad I found this site. Thanks to all who have informed me and others about it.
ReplyDeleteThe first thing you have to understand is that this is YOUR business, not a JOB. Therefore, you incur all costs AND benefits (such as the tax advantages of a home-based business). Second, educate yourself on the network marketing industry. This IS a legitimate MLM, as it offers a SERVICE that is unprecedented anywhere else. (Someone else show me where you can find a $69/pp cruise EVERY month on a REAL cruiseline, please?!). Third..DO tell your friends and family so they can take advantages of these discounts too!! My son & I just returned from an AMAZING all-inclusive in Cancun and as a single parent, I would NOT have been able to afford that without this company.
Delete$69 dollar cruise? Your forgetting to tell others your in competition with about 3000 other people to get this great 69 dollar cruise. There is only limited cabins for this price and your online trying to get a cabin. They sell out in minutes and you have to be on a computer at a specific time to try for the 69 dollar price. Once it sells out, the price goes up. No thanks ever again!
Delete$69 is actually about $242.72 after port fees and taxes. So its NOT $69. And the way they contact you and pressure you into meetings and seminars are just annoying and my recruter demands i reply to her text and email saying no reply means just two things: you didnt get it or just ignoring it... Well i didnt thinKg i need to relpy to 1 2 3 emAils and text and phone calls and voicemails they leave me a day. Thats just ridiculous and the way she said it was just plain rude and i did not appreciate it. I am cancelling it and if.... I doudt it, they refund my $365.92 i would just donate it to charity cos that has more integrity than me duping my family and friends into this scam. Thats another thing.... How come inpaid $365 and others cheaper. Well i guess i got DUPED EVEN BIGGER.
DeleteThere is a DreamTrips life (which is the original membership) and a DreamTrips U (stands for university) which is available to people 18-25 and offers specialty trips during school break times (IE spring, summer and winter breaks). You signed up for the original package (which has the additional benefit of your online booking/shopping/rovia bucks etc). So, no you were not "duped even bigger". Perhaps you should research legitimate sources rather than random blog sites. We have been featured in multiple national publications (including O magazine in August), were finalists for the Ernst and Young entreprenuers award, Direct Top 100 (with companys such as marykay, avon, amway, etc). Honestly, I'm a social worker. "taking advantage of people" is not in my character. Its legit. Research from the ppl that KNOW, not disgruntled ex members who thought they would get rich by sitting on the backsides.
DeleteCheck with a reputable CPA before believing anything any WV rep tells you about tax breaks. Many people found out the hard way (IRS investigations) that their up line basically lied to their faces and now they are audited.
DeleteRemember, you are nothing but a WV employee. they send and sign you your checks. You own nothing....certainly not your own business.
If you go to a travel party or a personal meet at Starbucks, be sure to ask for at least 3 years of 10-99s to prove that the rep makes the money they say they do. If they say they don't have any on them, ask them if there are any other WV groups in the area, because you can already see the team the person you are talking to belongs to, is no good and poorly trained, as they chose the time and place of the meet and they should have forseen the question for 10-99s, but they didn't. Tell them you want to join the best upline possible and the one they belong to just doesn't cut it.
I got ”invited” to one of these parties this week. If it is such a great company why was I not told it was a meeting but tricked into thinking it was a party? It was creepy and when I tried to leave without signing up the host pulled me into a room and told me I needed to sign up before midnight or else I was missing out on a huge opportunity. These people acted like they had been brainwashed..... not my friend anymore!

DeleteThis scares the hell out of me. I know someone who is slightly handicapped, barely able to support herself. she is totally sucked into this, calling the others involved "her family." When ever I hear "family" used like that I start looking for the Kool-Aid! in this economy, who can afford $150.00 on a speculation, that someone they know might sign up, and that they or someone they know will book a cruise! I would like to know who the 150 is goIng to. young People need to learn that there is no free ride, and eventually we all need to get a job, and learn to be responsible.
ReplyDeleteAll I no is I work at Costco and Costco travel has nothing on WV. I've been in WV a month and not only got my initial membership back but i'm up a couple hundred bucks and am now helping my friends get there's so that they like me can find more people that love to travel
ReplyDeleteAnd ur right there is no free ride u need to put in the work just like anything but it def pays u for ur effort not just it time on the clock
ReplyDeleteAnd its so funny the people that aren't even part of the company or don't have what it takes to b successful are the ones that are the nay Sayers
ReplyDeleteThe day I see a successful individual, whether it be in politics, arts and entertainment, designers, engineers, you know, people who matter in the U.S. believe it or not, who went and finished their education rather than take the easy way out, then I'll believe this. I come from a family of successful individuals, I know many powerful people in the world and never once has anyone I know given credit to being who they are because of companies like these...world ventures, cutco/vector,etc.
ReplyDeleteI also look at pictures and videos of these companies and they all advertise themselves with "pretty people" going on these vacations and on the fliers and such but then you go the conferences or here of the people going and most are people who clearly have not been to college and or young naiive individuals that are vulnerable to these situations and go right for it. Now, I know what some maybe thinking "who is this guys?" or "yeah that's easy for you to say" but even as a wealthy individual, I've had to run my fathers companies over seas and our local ones and I've been through years of training and college. Sooo moral of the story is I know what's it like on this side of the fence, and I hire people day in and day out and never once has one of my clients come to me and said "I would like to thank world ventures for opening the doors to a world of oppurtunites and brought me to you!" it's a little ridiculous to me and yeah your heads are being filled with non sense information and all of you think you may be "business" people, but the fact of the matter is, that is not the case. It's funny because the people who "make it" within this company get a nice little stipend, notice I use the word stipend, because that's what it is and a "free rental" BMW. Not to mention all of them are silver. I'm sorry, but this not a business and if you guys were, you would not be representing your company with little disregard for its well being on a free blog site that you don't even have to be anybody to blog on. Geeze, they don't even ask for your email and you have the opportunity to blog as "anonymous".
An old friend of mine just pitched this idea to me in Ireland which they have just launched in. It sounded crazy and all the prices on the website was in dollars.
ReplyDeleteHe told me would not have to pay the subscription if you signed up 4 people to be agents and would get a silver BMW if you signed up 10 people.
All one big Pyramid scam!
He was totally sold on the idea and even offered me the chance to "talk" to someone on the phone who could explain it better!
SCAM

DeleteSame shit happened to me with AMWAY. This dude, came up to me randomly got me to go to the meeting and I swear, everyone at this meeting was brainwashed. I felt like I was in a movie. This "wealthy dressed" man was on stage talking about how rich he is and these people were like praising him. Girl next to me was crying tears of joy and everything. I was wtf? It felt like the "yes man" convention where they corner Jim Carey. It was the most ridiculous "event" as they like to call it I have ever attended.
ReplyDeleteVW is still new in Singapore but if you check on them in US, there are many controversies going on.
ReplyDeleteI had just lost a close friend because I find him speaking strangely when I came back to sg after one week. He was so pissed off with me when I started my inquiry into the integrity and also some dynamics (such as ethics) of the operations of the company. But he simply speaks like a different person when he talks to me and I have never seen this side of him. When I do not support and warn him to be careful, he was so angry and told me to FUCK OFF and leave him alone because I am a dream stealer (Call it bond between friends :):)
Look, if this is really a holy grail to success and wealth then all I can say is you need to lose quite a number of friends before you can earn some money. Otherwise, attract other types of people who are naive and ignorant so that you can take advantage of their financial plight and their dream of retiring at a young age and not slogging to death (Quote from the conversation with my friend) as well. And if we are not buying their idea then we are classified as losers or we are simply not cut out to be in their company. (Seriously, I do agree to this statement to a large extent but coming from a criminal law school background - I find this hilarious because this is how reverse psychology works on human nature - since you are not gonna be my team player and vouch for me, get the hell away so that I can continue to sell my idea to others. Those who do not conform are just labelled randomly and I see this as a great deterrent for people who really raise red flags if they find something is not right) lol.......
I do not agree that we all want to be our own bosses (because simply some of us are just not meant to be - no discrimination intended), has a good quality of life etc but if you can disregard a friendship over one business opportunity that you are not even earning yet, I do not see the reason why I will support VW (Unless VW wants their reps to give us this kind of impression?). It doesn't matter what is being presented or marketed but rather it sounds too DREAMY to me because it buys into the psychology of GREED of human beings ( I will rather choose to be an investment banker in Wall Street though, more fun..:)
All I can say is, be intelligent, be calm and make sure you have enough disposable income if you want to have fun - and then go on and test whether they are the real deals. But if the reports on allegations and lawsuits are filed against them in the US where this company is based, then I will definitely walk away and create my own "DREAM" product/service so that I can really make my DREAM come through by asking people to pay upfront on something that they can believe in. So perhaps VW does give me some inspiration and a new idea of network marketing ....
With this, I am closing the endless debate on a more serious note. No matter what kind of "business opportunities" are presented to us , we need to exercise prudence and discernment before we fall into the traps that are so rampant nowadays especially with the assistance of the social media. No one loves to be cheated but sometimes, people need to learn the hard way as what I can see because they are so conditioned that there is no way we can offer any opinions in a neutral manner.
I just want to wish everyone success in life whether you are in VW or not. Anyway, if it's a scam ,time will tell and the Singapore Legal System will take them down in no time. So , we just have to let time tell of how much "potential" VW has being a real scam.
NO point killing one another here but rather I guess the more one shares information from different angles, it will be easier to arrest the shady MLM companies that are floating around all the time in different parts of the world. And as the saying goes, there is no smoke without fire and if something seems too good to be true, think before you act.
World Ventures is the single best thing to happen in my life. Those of you who say scam are close minded people. You pay your 24.99 a month, until you recruit 4 team members,, after that you no longer pay a fee. I put my four people in, in the first week,, meaning i only had to pay the original sign up fee. it cost me 285 to sign up,, which i made back in three weeks. you know what that means?? Everything after those three weeks was straight profit. Those who say its a pyramid do not know the true definition of a pyramid scheme. This si when there is someone at the top basically making the combined profits of everyone below him. How World Ventures works is, even if youre at the top, when you recruit someone, they go below everybody below you,, meaning your helping every single person below you. Take it from me,, im a 19 year old college student on track to make 70,000 this year, just off of this company. Technically, i could retire before i even join the work force. Now wheres the "Scheme" you ignorant people were talking about? Cuz i couldnt figure it out,, i was too busy counting the digits in my bank account.
ReplyDeleteThis is clearly an MLM or pyramid scheme or whatever you called it. If you make a profit from membership program, that is CLEARLY a MLM. Duh.
ReplyDeleteIts stealing. Had a friend take me to a show in plano. They spent maybe ten minutes talking about vacations than the next hour talking about recruiting. My friend well was at that time even told me we are there to hustle people. I declined the offer and he is no longet my friend. He now lives in a house with a woman and all her kids. Sucking them dry. Go figure. And yes the government is investigating wv. And no it wont just be the top dawgs geyting prison and fines. So will everyone else that has made money. So when my "friend" gets pinched I will still be sitting here now laughing making 5%. Happy hunting
ReplyDeleteNo Goals, No Dreams, No life. Enjoy your boring going nowhere job. People love to say It's a pyramid when they're afraid to try it, because they may fail. If they say It's a pyramid they have an out. Just say you can't do it and call it a day. Good luck in your life in whatever you do.
ReplyDeleteI love WorldVentures! I have been in it for 3 months. I am already making residual income of $400 per month doing this on the side for 4-6 hours per week. I have only paid $366 to join this company, I referred 4 people within 4 weeks, so I never paid any dues.. "Refer 4 and pay no more".. I am going on my first DreamTrip to Las Vegas in 2 weeks. I am soo excited.. Love this company! THANK YOU WORLDVENTURES!
ReplyDeleteI have attended a information session and just would like to say that Im a very cautious person when It comes to my time and money...there are many risks you take in life general,If you as a person can not invest $200...$300...even $1000 into your future then Success beyond secondary education may not be for you....The only people that complain are the ones that cant do it...or dont have the money...and instead of bein nasty ask for help....someone just might step out on faith for you...and show you how they got there... Remember they made it and you didnt. If you never try then you will never know what you are capable of doing truly when you are doin something you enjoy. EVERY COMPANY has someone at the top, unless you own your own... you will always... always... be paying dues for someone elses success.I Love to travel point blank period Im excited about sharing trips all over the world with my family and friends.
ReplyDeleteSomeone sent me a copy of an official Transcript recording the details of an interview between a lawyer and a Worldventures ex-employee. This is an official court document, and not some form of rumours.
ReplyDeleteThe employee revealed many shocking details of how the CEO and the founders instructed her to manipulate the membership number to fake growth, and also to manually move themselves and some other close contacts to higher positions in the MLM hierarchy in order to earn higher income without earning it through performance. They also conspired with certain reps by artificially promoting them and have them co-operate by going up on stage during huge conventions to claim that they have achieved their promotion through hard work. This is to deceive people that it's possible to work hard and make lots of money. Anyone interested to get a copy of this document can express your interest here by providing your email and name. Form your own judgement after seeing the document.
If we are goign to spend time picking something apart, they we shoudl spend time picking everything apart. Let's apply everything that everyone has said here to college education and universities. I am a huge promonent of higher education however is it not a scam that the fees that are tacked on to the tuition and "fees" are a scam? Everyone is chared fees that don't apply for them. It must be a scam. You may over $100,000 for a college education for a piece of paper that doens't gaurantee you anything! That is a major risk! Are you guaranteed you are going to learn something in all the classes do you REALLY have to pay for classes you don't need just because the university said you must have them. ?
