WorldVentures - Better Business Bureau Rating

Update January 2018.  WorldVentures Marketing, LLC BBB rating is C+

Several positive reviews and been posted:

12/04/2017 - Reviewer Brionna H posted "I love the vacations , business and the founder is phenomenal! So caring and such an amazing servant leader!"

11/21/2017 - Reviewer Maryline S posted "I've been using this company for all of my travels. I've used all of their services with success. My kids love Dreamtrips and there's not a day they are not planning their next vacation. Use your membership wisely so that you can discover everything inside it. As I'm typing this my great friend is in the Dominican Republic dreamtripping with friends."

Negative reviews still keep pouring in though:

09/19/2017 - 1. The dream trips are not really Deals. They were many times were my team members would intentionally look for cheaper prices on other websites so they could use the price pledge to their advantage to get their trips for free. Any of the team members who have actually went on vacations for free were mostly because of other people doing the work for them since anyone underneath them counts towards their sales volume. 2. Several of my team members had more than one representative business system which automatically tells me that there's dishonesty in even the nicest of people. I'm not even asking for a refund because I was stupid enough to believe all of them. 3. If you search enough online, you will find previous cases where the founders put people in high positions that they did not earn earning money that they did not earn themselves just so they can put up a story that they made it to the top. You will also find that the founders Mike ***** and Wayne ****** were in a different company before World Ventures called Your Travel Business. Of course, I don't hear much of that company anymore. The allegations for that company were the same as far as fraud. But of course they won't tell you this in their opportunity meetings.

08/03/2017 - After almost two years I just canceled my membership because this company has terrible customer service, and does not provide the discounted travel option they claim in my experiences with them. I have tried to book numerous trips with them and have always found cheaper better travel online with any of the travel search engines. I also booked a premium platinum DreamTrip to Costa Rica in the Spring and double checked the prices. I would have saved $900 if I had booked it independently. If you need someone to take care of all the details for you and realize that you are being charged for this service, it might be ok, but only if you are ok with super long hold times on the phone and unhelpful service reps.

07/06/2017 - I joined this company on 24 April, 2017. I was given no receipts of any kind when I was signed up. I immediately wanted to learn how to use the web site, but found I could not access it. My upline responded sarcastically with "You know haw to use a computer, do you?" It took some complaining, but after weeks of frustration, it was discovered that my name and email were not recorded correctly. The information and access had been sent to some one with a similar name and email address. Once I was able to access the "back office web page" I discovered that I was supposed to have been issued with a Policies and Procedures document something I had to find on my own, nearly a month after signing up. I have sent an email to the company advising them that I am quitting, and requesting a refund, particularly because of the irregularities surrounding my sign-up, but also because the up-front cost and the monthly fees quickly became a financial burden.

As of June 2014, WorldVentures Marketing, LLC has a C- rating with the Better Business Bureau of Dallas.  The Better Business Bureau is a non-profit organization founded on advancing marketplace trust.  The vision of the Better Business Bureau is "An ethical marketplace where buyers and sellers can trust each other."
  • Failure to respond to two complaints filed against the business
  • Fifteen serious complaints filed against the business

WorldVentures Marketing, LLC is categorized with the Better Business Bureau as a Multi-Level Selling Company.  The file was opened on July 14, 2006.  The reasons for the C- rating are as follows:

The primary focus of the complaints are regarding misrepresentation of savings on travel, denial or slow payment of refunds due, and poor customer service.  Many complainants claim that WorldVentures does not provide promised savings as they were led to believe by company representatives.  Instead of rectifying the problem though, the company instead offers refunds, refunds that are either delayed or never received.

A complaint filed as recent as June 9, 2014 outlines that in spite of being promised $69 cruises and "deep discounts", the new member was unable to gain access to those rates as promised.

Another complaint filed the same day claimed WorldVenture directors were overheard telling racial jokes to each other.

A third complaint filed June 9, 2014 claims the WorldVentures Director promised if the new member was not fully satisfied with their membership, they could receive a full refund.  Yet when they attempted to cancel, they were advised there was a 14 day cancellation policy and monthly fees they were not advised of.  The complainant also stated that the presenter claimed WorldVentures held a A+ rating and was accredited with the BBB.  Much to their surprise, they not only found a C- rating, but also that WorldVentures was not an accredited member of the BBB.

  1. WorldVentures was called a "thinly disguised Pyramid Scheme" in U.S. News and World Report. The article is a WARNING for people to steer clear of WorldVentures....

    1. No, the point is that you are ripping people off so that very few members (not including you) are getting the big bucks (people who are friends of Wayne and Mike, who were placed in their IMD positions without doing the work....like Dave and Yvette Ulloa).
Accord to WVs own compensation plan, including the cost of what people pay into WV (monthly, training costs etc), 99% of the reps make either $0 or LOSE money in this scam. Less than .01% make enough to qualify for a dream car.
What's worse, you scammers aren't getting paid by WV for the new reps you sign up....new reps who are guaranteed NOT TO MAKE ANY MONEY, cause all the high slots are already filled).

  4. I just checked bbb, they are now b+. I read the complaints. Everyone got their refund who didnt want to stay in wv. Out of hundreds of thousands of members worldwide, there were 117 complaints. Over 3000 dream trips were provided last year, also voluntour trips where members offer their time and money to help communities in other countries build schools, purify water, etc. I have met 5 reps who have earned their car allowances, some got it within a month, others after a few years. The rewards are going on vacations. If you do not value going on vacations, this is not for you. If you take vacations every year, this is a fabulous way to go to 4 and 5 star resorts and pay 2 and 3 star hotel prices, and earn money back for bookings you make through your rovia site. The value is in the experience of taking trips with people who love to travel. No ponzy scheme, the trips are there, and people are traveling every month.

    1. Thank you Deanne. It's just as she says. I've met people who are finacially free right now. Just like with going to school or starting your own business, you have to put money into it in order to get money out of it. It's called an investment. Everything we do in life take time, motivation, and effort. You can't get a degree until you've put enough time and energy into your schooling, right? Same concept with WV.
The question y'all should be asking yourselves is if this is worth your investment or do you prefer to work harder and for much longer at your frustrating W-2 job?

    2. Reps haven't been getting their commissions paid, no residuals or dream car/house payments. Reps are being foreclosed on. Vendors are not getting paid, so they are not providing services members taking trips are expecting....arriving only to find no reservations because WV isn't paying the hotels and other vendors. Numerous REPS are now making BBB complaints over nonpayment of what they are owed by the company for signing up reps. Go to Glassdoor to see what corporate employees are saying....massive monthly lay offs, open talk of bankruptcy. Numerous C-level officers leaving the company after seeing the true financials.
At least with reputable companies, you are paid for the work and services you provide.
